As a volunteer-based organization, the United States Tennis Association has a long history of community involvement. Working together, USTA volunteers and staff promote and develop the game of tennis in the United States.
USTA/Virginia Tennis relies on the many individuals & groups who volunteer with us each year. Volunteers are a very valuable asset to our organization. Internships
Intern, Officials – Accelerated Chair Line Training Program (ACLTP)- applications accepted year round; 2011 deadline is February 4.

USTA/VA is offering the opportunity for internships for action-oriented students. USTA/VA interns will gain valuable experience working in the fast paced tennis industry learning tools for success ranging from marketing/promotions, organization/administrative, as well as communications and advertising. Tennis is the fastest growing traditional sport in the US and our interns will be working hands-on with local communities to provide opportunities for kids and adults to play the game.
USTA/Virginia Tennis is a not-for-profit organization operating out of our Roanoke, VA office and servicing the entire state of Virginia. USTA/VA has openings in 2010 during the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.
Community Tennis Internship
Note: We are actively soliciting resumes for our Spring, Summer and Fall Internship slots.
The internship will revolve primarily around the USTA/VA Community Tennis Department with an emphasis on program marketing, promotions, event management, and public relations. This internship will provide experience in marketing, strategic and tactical planning, communication, event management and promotions.
Candidates must be Current Students looking for Curriculum Related Internships. Candidate should have strong writing and communication skills and should be well organized. Word processing skills are a must.
