Each year the Virginia Tennis Foundation(VATF) and the Mid-Atlantic Tennis & Education Foundation (MATEF) offer scholarships to summer tennis camps featuring an educational component.

Fifty-three junior tennis players from throughout Virginia were awarded Mid-Atlantic Tennis & Education Foundation matching camp scholarships this summer. Camps attended included the Brenda Schultz Tennis & Adventure Camp at Hollins University in Roanoke, the Lobs & Lessons Tennis Camp at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, the Western Tidewater Tennis Association Tennis Camp in Franklin, the Nike Tennis Camp at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, the Nike Tennis Camp at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, the Peak Performance & Development Camp at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, College Week Tennis Camp at Willow Oaks Country Club in Richmond, and the Adidas Tennis Camp at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg. The Mid-Atlantic Tennis & Education Foundation supported these players with a total of $9,816 worth of scholarships funds. USTA/Virginia Tennis also supported camp scholarships for Virginia players with $5,758.50 worth of matching and non-matching tennis camp scholarships awarded.
